DHHS SER assistance is available up to $600 for electricity or natural gas or $900 for deliverable fuels. (The assistance cap for electricity is $900 for homes with electric heat). Households are eligible for DHHS energy assistance with household income below 150% FPL.
You can apply for DHHS assistance online at newMIBridges.michigan.gov or contact your local DHHS office.
You may contact your local Salvation Army to complete a paper application. To find a local Salvation Army (or another agency) that provides energy assistance, please call 211 (or click here).

The program also offers additional services such as tips for reducing your energy bill, saving money, information about community resources and case management services.
