The Salvation Army Energy Assistance Services Application

Our online application is now closed. If you have started an application with us already, you will be contacted within 5 business days.

Assistance is available for Consumers Energy accounts by calling your local Salvation Army location. Use this link to find the number or address [Location Search - The Salvation Army USA Central Territory].

For all other accounts, you may call 211 (or visit their website at mi211.org) to find another assistance agency.

DHHS SER assistance is available up to $500 for electricity or natural gas or $800 for deliverable fuels. If you have not been assisted with these amounts since Oct. 1, 2024, please apply for DHHS SER again.

The Salvation Army Energy Assistance Services offers bill payment and energy company affordable payment plan enrollment to low-income households. The program also offers additional services such as tips for reducing your energy bill, saving money, information about community resources and case management services.
